25th Anniversary Parade for Vietnam Veterans Memorial

The Helmets to Hardhats program played an active role in a Nov. 11 parade to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. In addition to the Helmets to Hardhats "Hummer," which was part of the procession, Executive Director Darrell Roberts was positioned on a float sponsored by the International Association of Bridge, Structural and Reinforcing Iron Workers. The International Brotherhood of Teamsters also participated in the parade with their contingent of Teamster veterans.
"It was a very moving experience to be a part of this celebration," said Roberts. "I would like
to thank the Iron Workers for allowing Helmets to Hardhats to be a part of their float, and to the
Teamster for showing their support for the men and women who served in Vietnam."
